Hi - it's Kelly again. Well, I've been out of school for a year (seriously - its crazy), and haven't touched this website since graduation. Guess good ol' C'ville has proved to be more exciting than I anticipated. Riiiiight. I just got lazy.
So, I'm just going to leave the crap up - the "get to know me" stuff - peruse if you will. I really have nothing to add to this website. My scanner isn't compatible with this computer, so no new pictures unfortunately. Eh - quit yer whining.
A little intro to me... Favorite Band or Musician: Can't pick a fav. I prefer music with an edge - stuff that rocks, but I like Jazz, Motown, Dance, Pop, Folk, old, new, blah blah blah. So, like I said, the type of music that I am probably most drawn to is your straight forward, kick-ass, groovin' rock n' roll. Led Zep (thanks to all those high school parties at Dave's - with the famous Church Basement, then the Ninjas - rock on!) Trying to be a big fan of all things Canadian - support our own people.
Favorite TV show: I am a child of the television era but I am very sad to report that I have fallen down on the job of being a TV junkie. I still try to be a Thursday night devotee of Friends and ER. I also like the New Music (which I constantly miss for some reason - maybe I don't like it as much as I think). I also love those trashy "E! True Hollywood Stories" or "Behind the Music". And The Cosby Show has to be one of the best ever! Ahem. I also like Coronation Street. Don't judge me. And I really think they should bring back reruns of The Facts of Life.
Favorite movie: Hmmmm....Cat on a Hot Tim Roof; Dazed and Confused; Girls Just Want to Have Fun; The Breakfast Club; Charlie's Angels; American History X; Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Favorite book: Margaret Atwood is brilliant - everyone should read A Handmaid's Tale. Anne Marie MacDonald's book Fall on Your Knees. I have an addiction to The Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon, as well as those dang Harry Potter books. And to return to my childhood - the Little House on the Praire books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Favorite sports team: Not much of a sports nut - although I do enjoy watching tennis.
Favorite food: I'm pretty happy with chocolate, bread and potatoes. And Cheez Whiz. Now, if we are talking restaurants, I love Greek food. Oh yeah - and cheeeeesecaaaake.
My..."hobbies"?
I finished my degree in Occupational Therapy in May 2002 and started my first job as an Occupational Therapist in Clarenville, Newfoundland the same month. Have been here ever since. Living in the hometown again. Sigh.
As you can probably tell I like to watch movies, listen to music (including going to clubs to hear the real live deal) and read (although I've developed a taste for Flare and US mags, rather than the Celestine Prophecy I've been meaning to read for years. Whoops). Quite exciting.
I hate water sports. Hate hate HATE! Just a teensy fear of water.
Hmmmm....lemme see. I am trying to teach myself to play the guitar, but unfortunately I am not being very strict with myself. My family just bought a treadmill, so that has become my sworn. I'm dong a photography course this winter. And I spend waaaaay too much time on this darned machine. It's verra verra addictive, you know.
Oh yeah. I have big plans of learning to sew (if 9 other people in this darned town decide the same, then I'm in business). Bye bye $$$.
